# What is Hashly?

**Hashly** is a discovery platform for the **Hedera** ecosystem. It puts events, projects, tokens, NFT collections and news in one place, and lets the community rank them with votes that are recorded on the **Hedera Consensus Service (HCS)**.

## 🏛️ Key Principles

### 🗳️ Community Rankings

Community rankings on Hashly come from the votes of Hedera wallets. Events collect stars over time, while tokens, NFT collections and ecosystem projects show the stars they receive each day. Every vote is written to an HCS topic, so anyone can check the record. See [Voting System](/hashly-docs/discover/voting-system.md).

### 🐉 Voting Power from NFTs

Every wallet starts with **1** vote. Holders of two Hedera NFT collections carry more weight:

| 🐉 Santuario Hedera (Dragons) | `0.0.7235629` | **+1** per NFT                  |
| ⚔️ El Santuario               | `0.0.9954622` | **+5** if you hold at least one |

These NFTs are utility tokens that unlock features on Hashly. Read the note about them in [Voting System](/hashly-docs/discover/voting-system.md).

### ⭐ Rewards for Taking Part

* 🎯 **Missions** grant XP for logging in, voting, getting events approved and more
* 🏆 **Seasons** run for one calendar month (UTC), with a leaderboard on the Season Pass page
* 🎖️ **Attendance badges** for checking in at meetups
* ⚡ **Staking** and 🎁 **raffles**, both run on Embers

### ⛓️ On-Chain Records

Votes, event check-ins, Ember grants and claims, and raffle entries and draws are written to public HCS topics. Nobody can edit or delete them, Hashly included. See [On-Chain Records (HCS)](/hashly-docs/technical/hcs-voting.md).
