# Missions and XP

Missions are the **main way to earn XP** in Hashly. Complete tasks, collect the XP automatically, and climb the [season leaderboard](/hashly-docs/rewards/leaderboard-seasons.md).

## 📋 Mission Types

### 📆 Daily Missions

Reset every day at **00:00 UTC**.

| 🔑 **Daily Check-in** | Connect and sign in with your wallet today | 5  |
| 🗳️ **Cast a Vote**   | Vote on at least 1 event today             | 10 |
| 🗳️ **Active Voter**  | Cast 3 event votes today                   | 50 |

> 📌 The daily voting missions only count votes on **events**. Votes on tokens, NFT collections and ecosystem projects count toward the season missions.

### 📅 Weekly Missions

Reset every **Sunday at 00:00 UTC**.

### 🏅 Season Missions

Reset at the start of each season (the 1st of the month). Each one pays **once per season**.

| 🌐 **Ecosystem Explorer** | Vote on 5 different ecosystem projects         | 100   |
| 🔥 **Unstoppable**        | Log in on 25 days this season                  | 500   |
| 👤 **Recruiter**          | 1 person enters your referral code this season | 100   |
| 👥 **Ambassador**         | 3 people enter your referral code this season  | 500   |
| 🏅 **Badge Holder**       | Earn 1 attendance badge this season            | 300   |

### 👑 Premium Missions

Only active [Premium](/hashly-docs/rewards/leaderboard-seasons.md) members can complete these. Everyone else sees them locked.

> ⏸️ During a paused season nobody has Premium perks, so Premium missions stay locked for everyone.

## ✨ How XP Is Awarded

There's **no claim button**. When a mission is complete, its XP is added **the next time you open the Missions page**, and the mission shows **Earned**.

* 🔑 **Daily Check-in** completes when you connect and sign in with your wallet that day (UTC).
* 📅 **Login days** for Dedicated User, Unstoppable and Premium Streak are the days your Daily Check-in was awarded, so they only count on days you open the Missions page.
* 🗳️ **Votes don't give XP by themselves**: they count toward the voting missions.
* 🔄 **Progress** shows on each card as `current/required`.

> ⚠️ **Important:** A day you sign in but don't open the Missions page doesn't count as a login day for the streak missions.

## 🐉 Dragon Boost

Holding **Santuario Hedera dragons** (`0.0.7235629`) multiplies the XP you earn from missions:

| Dragons held | Boost |
| ------------ | ----- |
| 5 to 9       | ×1.1  |
| 10 to 19     | ×1.2  |
| 20 or more   | ×1.5  |

* 🎯 Only the **highest** boost you reach applies.
* ✅ It also applies to the XP for **approved events and ecosystem projects**. The extra XP is rounded down.
* 🚫 It doesn't apply to badge XP or referral XP, and your referrer's commission is calculated on the base reward.
* 🔄 Your dragon count is refreshed from the Hedera Mirror Node at most every 10 minutes.

> **📌 Example:** With 20 dragons, **Badge Collector** pays `1,000 × 1.5 = 1,500 XP`. With 10 dragons, **Prolific Creator** pays `500 × 1.2 = 600 XP`.

Your profile shows your current boost, how much extra XP it has earned you, and how many more dragons reach the next step.

Approvals pay on top of the matching missions: your first approved event of the season gives 100 XP for the approval and 100 XP for **Event Creator**.

## 🤝 Referral Commission

If you entered someone's referral code, they receive **2%** of the base XP you earn from missions, approvals and streak bonuses, rounded down. It **doesn't reduce your reward**. See the [Referral Program](/hashly-docs/rewards/referrals.md).

* 👤 [**Profile**](https://hash-ly.com/profile): your season XP, rank and streak, a **Last 30 days** bar chart of the XP you earned each day and how many days you were active, and a **Recent Activity** list of your latest 20 XP entries.

## 💡 Tips to Maximize XP

* 📆 **Open the Missions page every day you sign in**: that's when completed missions pay out and when your login day counts.
* 🗳️ **Daily routine**: Daily Check-in + Cast a Vote + Active Voter = **65 XP a day**, before Dragon Boost.
* 🎯 **Diversify**: tokens, NFT collections and ecosystem projects each have their own season mission.
* 📝 **Submit events and projects**: each approval pays 100 XP, plus the creator missions.
* 🎟️ **Attend meetups**: one badge is worth 100 XP, plus 300 XP for Badge Holder.
* 🐉 **Reach the next dragon step**: 5, 10 and 20 dragons raise your boost on every mission.
